MCC is in the business of formation, not just education. We are a Christ-centered school rooted in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi. We are focused on the development of the whole person sitting in front of us in the classroom -- academically, spiritually, athletically, artistically and emotionally.
As a result, our students grow into remarkable young adults. They earn accolades in every discipline: they placed 2nd in the nation in the Catholic math league and test scores continue to lead the Diocese, they reached state playoffs in 16 sports; they launched the first school-wide service day in Brevard county, donating more than 2,000 man-hours to dozens of charities in a single day. Year after year, we have a 100% graduation rate and a 100% college acceptance rate.
Excellent Schools Require Excellent Facilities
For the past five years, we have succesfully pursued the goals of our 2011-2016 strategic plan -- from the development of a campus master plan to the implementation of more rigorous academic standards and greater opportunities for faith-in-action--to become the school of excellence that we are today. Now, it is time to ensure the caliber of our facilities match the caliber of a Melbourne Central Catholic education. Excellence demands excellence.
Build to Serve
In our 2011-2016 strategic plan, we made a commitment to our students, community and the MCC family to develop a master plan for the future development of the campus facilities and grounds.
True to this promise our Build to Serve campaign will aim to fund the following new campus construction and renovations.
|Campus Security Plan and MCC Commons||Gymnasium|
|Athletic Field House||Faculty Offices|
|Dining & Activities Center||New MinistryCenter|
|Global Learning Center||Chapel|
MCC is rooted in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi which develops young men and women in an inclusive community to become servant leaders of our global society. As part of this mission, we provide a campus where students become young adults whose future choices and decisions will influence, not only their lives, but indeed, our world. We strive to develop a Christ-centered love of learning and resepct for fellow human beings through the application of moral principles, a commitment to service, and excellence in academics, athletics, the arts and extra-curricular activities.
Our Build to Serve campaign represents the future of this tradition. Our goal is to establish an environment in which our students are inspired to contribute and serve.
